Crossway releases “powered by Glo” ESV Bible apps

2009 and 2010 “Bible of the Year” winners join forces to create a revolutionary, media rich Bible app for iPad and iPhone

ORLANDO, Florida – November 15, 2012 – Bible Publisher Crossway and digital Bible maker Immersion Digital announced today that they are coming together to launch two new apps for the iPhone and iPad that will pair the award-winning 2009 Bible of the Year (ESV Study Bible) with the award-winning 2010 Bible of the Year (Glo Bible) to offer a unique experience for the Bible reader.

The new apps include the ESV Study Bible and the FREE ESV Bible App, available today in the App Store for the iPad and iPhone. These “powered by Glo” apps include trusted Crossway content, feature the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible, and are built upon Glo Bible’s award-winning digital platform, which incorporates 360-degree virtual tours, photos, animated maps, social features and Bible reading plans.

Glo Bible Reaches 1 Million Downloads

Immersion Digital apps reach 1 million downloads and 30 million minutes of Bible reading

ORLANDO, Florida – July 17th, 2012 – Immersion Digital is thrilled to announce that on July 13th, 2012 Glo Bible and Powered by Glo products reached the milestone of 1 million app downloads. 1 million downloads translates into over 30 million minutes of Bible reading in over 120 countries.

“The heart of our mission is to leverage on technology to promote Bible engagement in this digital age. We are excited and honored about promoting 30 million minutes of Bible reading all over the world, and that is just the beginning. The media-rich interactive Glo Bible app has been downloaded on iPad, iPhone, Mac and PC worldwide in multiple languages including English and Portuguese as well as the newly launched Mandarin and German versions. The top five Glo Bible downloading countries include the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom and Singapore. The data also shows that Glo is used most during Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, demonstrating churchgoers are using digital as an alternative to paper bibles in church services.

The 30 million minutes have been spent in the scripture text as well as the vast array of interactive media content within Glo. Glo Digital Bible Launches on iPad, Mac and PC

Immersion Digital launches a new version of Glo giving users access to media and translations on up to five different devices including iPad, Mac and PC; offers Free “Glo Lite”

ORLANDO, Florida – April 2nd, 2011 – The Glo Bible, an award-winning, media-rich interactive Bible, has just launched Mac and iPad versions, giving users access to Glo on multiple devices. Winner of 2010 Bible of the Year, Glo can now be used on up to five devices while syncing notes, translations and media.

This much anticipated launch gives Glo users a new way to explore the Bible anytime and anywhere. Immersion Digital’s multi-platform approach, from desktop to mobile devices, presents the Bible to the mainstream user in a whole new way.  Featuring zoom technology and a touch interface, Glo presents a rich interactive database of historic as well as contemporary information, photos, video, maps, artwork, 360-degree virtual tours, and more.
