The Glo Interactive Digital Bible Poised & Ready for the Touchscreen Revolution

**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

(Orlando, FL) January 3, 2011 – With the recent explosion of touch based PCs, smartphones and slate-sized devices, Immersion Digital is poised and ready to meet market demand with the Glo Bible.

“As content moves from paper to digital It is not enough to mimic paper in an electronic form,” says Nelson Saba, CEO of Immersion Digital. ” We need to exploit the full potential of interactive digital media to enhance how such content is experienced. That is the idea behind Glo; a digital publishing platform that offers an enhanced user experience of the content through media.”

Glo is an interactive Bible that brings the Bible to life through HD video, photographs, maps, reading plans, 360-degree virtual tours, and a unique zoomable interface for fast, easy, visual navigation. Originally released for Windows devices, Glo was designed for the average Bible reader. “Glo is designed to give you a Bible experience – allowing the everyday person see the Bible in a new way,” says Peter Centofante, director of product design at Immersion Digital.

Glo developers have kept touchscreen devices in mind from inception. Glo has been demoed on a HP Touchsmart PC since its early prototypes. “The zoomable user interface of Glo is a natural fit with touch devices” says Centofante. Immersion Digital is in the process of refining the interface and infrastructure of Glo to meet the demand for smaller, more portable touch devices.

Immersion Digital has announced multi-device capability for Glo coming in spring 2011, as well as a Mac and iPad version to accompany the current Windows version. This would mean that one could use their Glo Bible on any device while syncing notes, bookmarks and reading plans.

“As the way people consume content changes, so must the delivery method for timeless truths like the Bible,” says Shawn Carroll, COO of Immersion Digital. “Our goal is to give people a Scripture companion, and let them experience the Bible wherever they are. With mobile devices, the average person can have their Bible, notes and reading plans alongside thousands of images and resources right in their pocket.”

“Our mission is to create a versatile digital publishing platform that enhances the readers interaction with the content by integrating immersive interactive media with text, thus creating unique and engaging learning experiences.” says Saba. “Touch devices are a key part of this mission.”

Glo is available now for Windows PCs at www.globible.com.
